The Monster Guys present: Faerie Tales – A Monster Guys Podcast Presentation!

Join us as we travel to the Old Country and far away lands in search of some of the world’s greatest legends and monsters. Journey with us to the land of Faeries! For each Faerie Tales Podcast, we will spin a classic or original tale from the land of the Fae Folk, and share in a brief conversation about the history, the lore, the mystery – and very often, the terror –  of the featured faerie.

irishfamilysayinggoodbyeA simple, straightforward ghost tale is, sometimes, refreshing, and all that is required. That is precisely what this week’s Faerie Tales Podcast is. *“The Widow’s Ghost” is an original tale written by C. Michael McGannon, inspired by the classic Irish ghost story titled, “The Dead Mother”.

Often ghosts and faeries are mixed up or lumped together, and though they often share similarities, they share distinct attributes apart from one another.

Following the story, D.C. & Michael discuss some of these similarities and differences, and venture just slightly outside the borders of the fae folk … slightly … but still remain very much in the realm of Irish folklore.

What are your thoughts on the differences between “the Good Folk” and ghosts? We’d love to hear your thoughts.

Join in the discussion in this week’s Faerie Tale!
