Wizard World Comic Con Tulsa: So…Much…Fun!!!
@TheMonsterGuys were in attendance with what was reported to be about 30,000 other fans for #WizardWorld Comic Con in Tulsa, OK this past weekend. It was a fun weekend, and we had a blast meeting so many new friends and fans.
Our “Name That Monster: Mashup Edition” Game Show Panel on Saturday was standing room only, and rolled with laughter the entire show! We came back on Sunday with our “Monsters & Magic” panel, which was a full-house once again and tons of fun.
We’re thinking the “Baba Yaga” skit drew about as much laughter as the Saturday panel (Kellan Parker threw down a phenom performance as ‘Baba Yaga’, Lol!). Everyone did such a great job, and we were glad to be a part of this amazing weekend with all of you!
As fans ourselves, we feel it’s important to give something valuable to anyone who joins in on our panels or other live shows. We believe laughter and having a great time together are valuable. Add monsters, comedic improve, and flying tootsie rolls to that mix and, well…you just had to be there. 🙂
Thank you to everyone who came out to see us, and thanks to everyone who participated in our drawing throughout the weekend (winners are listed below). We decided to take it a step further…
Though we drew names for our bigger packages (An entire set of our currently printed “Charlie Sullivan and the Monster Hunters” series; and a set of ebooks of the same titles), we felt it would be cool to share an ebook with everyone who put their names “in the hat.” We are contacting everyone via either facebook or twitter tonight to gather contact info, and then we’ll be sending books out to everyone! YAY!!
Thanks again for making our time at Wizard World Tulsa 2014 a blast. It looks like they’ll be back next year, and we’ve been told we’ll be back as well! 🙂
Watch your heads…tootsie rolls are flyin’!!
Congrats to Stevie Sides for winning a set of Charlie Sullivan and the Monster Hunters, Books 1-3
Congrats to Matt Claxton for winning a set of ebooks
P.S. – Several people have asked us about our card game (we gave out free pre-release game cards to ten people during Sunday’s panel, as well as some 11X17 Card Art). Stay tuned for more info. We are completing some new artwork for that game right now. As soon as we are near completion we will announce a release date.
